Xilisoft MKV Converter 5.1.17 Description

Xilisoft MKV Converter is a multi-format app that will help you convert your MKV (Matroska) files into various formats for use on mobile devices such as iPod, Zune and Xbox.

The Xilisoft MKV Converter interface isn't very attractive, but it is simple to use and has a very good selection of available formats. You add the files you want to convert - preview them if wanted - and pick the output format from the drop down menu.

To make life easier, you can set certain frequently used output processes as profiles. As you can also queue conversions, the auto-shutdown function is pretty neat, while the auto-update feature is always a welcome addition. Xilisoft MKV Converter is also able to split videos and, of course, you are able to toggle audio and video settings.

Unfortunately, Xilisoft MKV Converter has some pretty strict trial version limitations. It's a perfectly acceptable product, but by no means revolutionary, so the developers could definitely help things along by relaxing a little on the trial.

Xilisoft MKV Converter does its job well, but is ugly and suffers from strict trial limitations.
